Where the hell you been hunnie?

Where the hell you been hunnie?

One question I have constantly been asked is.. Where the hell have you god damn been! Stuck in Birmingham due to snow when our Paris flights got cancelled? I am joking that’s not what this blog is about but I am obvs not over it! I do keep getting asked this question though! For a second I felt like everyone was being dramatic af, but turns out I haven’t posted in 2 months… 2 fricken’ months!! (So dramatic my punctuation just has to go out of the window). Do I have post ideas and stuff to write? Yes.. I am all backed up… yes I did just say that.. I’m cringing too. Sorry, not sorry. To explain where I have been *insert Lindsay Lohans incredibly fake English accent from The Parent Trap * I have to take you back to yesteryear…

This “innocent” little thing killed my laptop remember..

Yep Shade was living up to her name and was a shady bitch and broke my laptop after I didn’t play with her. I feel like mum’s going to comment like she didn’t do it on purpose but we all so know she did. My boyfriend kindly let me use his computer gaming system (trust me that’s a big deal, it’s probably the only time something other than League of legends has been put on it…) to write up some posts however his keyboard just feels nasty to type on. I just couldn’t. Ah.

I then invested in a MacBook for multiple reasons which shall be revealed very soon… But I also started this new crazy job at Timberland’s supervising there and well long story short they closed down (safe to say everyone’s got Timberland gear for their birthdays, Christmas, christenings, funerals etc…) So now I am free again!

Balancing a full-time job, being fabulous as my Nan would encourage and blogging is very hard… as many of my blogger friends know. You don’t just throw a post together they take work. Lots of it.

And whilst all of this has been going on I met an amazing new friend called Johnny… You really need to check him out. I mean this guy does everything; designing, tailoring, modelling, getting naked on stage, Oh wait did I say he could sew?

Johnny had given me a crazy amount of courage and confidence to start well.. building my empire? Got to think big right? And he said the realist thing ever to me “The worst that could happen is it doesn’t work and it will fail. If you fail your business at lets say 23/24 you have a lot of time to pick yourself up, chase your dreams now whilst you have so much time”. After so many discussions with Johnny, who I am hopefully meeting with very soon, I started to plan. And my 3 ideas were created;

1. The blog

Expand and really do my blog; especially as so many people have messaged me to ask if I was still doing it! I have so many exciting posts lined up including a new shoot and campaign with photographer Grace Perry. Grace is my day one photographer so I would love you to check out her stuff; Insta, Facebook and her website.

As well as my own blog I am also trying to start really getting into the blogger community. So lets see how that goes! Yay making friends.

2. Vlogging

I tried to vlog last year and well as Blu Chyna would tell you… It was a disaster. It was like I wasn’t even me I was terrible, the settings were wrong, the filming was wrong, Blu was getting washed out, Vee Rose was not getting the lighting she deserved, it was a huge mess. And the footage has never even been seen.. not even by me… But good news people! My childhood best friend Zia is back! By back I mean moving back to Gloucestershire after she deserted me and left to live in Brighton for fucking years. No grudge… But Zia knows her way around a camera and very excitedly I am happy to announce we are going to start Vlogging together. She’s acting like she just wants to be behind the camera but whatever. Take 2 it is.

3. Iya – Louisa’s: The Little Horse Box.

This is the big extra scary important one. This is my new main venture, and I am both thrilled and terrified to share it with you all. My friend Jamie and I have joined forces and well started working on a plan together. We are currently converting our new investment, yes its a horse-box … because well food vans are so basic 💁🏽(my new MacBook lets me add emojis to like everything) Into a Vegetarian and Vegan lets say… eatery.

Throw back to when I first started blogging and that cringey bio I had… the one about wanting to open my own patisserie and all that crap? You know until I realised I couldn’t pipe for shit? (I am actually going on a mini patisserie course, but that’s besides the point, irrelevant, moving on). Despite this my goals still kind of stayed the same. I wanted my own place in the food industry.

Jamie; the guy who has no clue about Jamaican food, Veggie food, Vegan food or well any food which isn’t steak or Italian including that you probably shouldn’t serve alcohol in food to kids is now my business partner. What could go wrong? All jokes aside he’s actually rather good at running a business and has experience converting horse boxes etc… It was one of those, do you know what we should do? Kind of conversations. You know where you and your friends end up deciding your now all living abroad or some crazy scheme? But I actually feel like this is going to work! And well I am the menu designer etc… so don’t be too worried he’s not in charge of that aha. So welcome to another Iya – Louisa’s adventure. Unfortunately at this moment in time, that is all I can reveal to you. I will follow-up on everything I promise! But for now just sit tight!

I am going to update my What’s Happening! page with anything else I have missed so for content info and everything else go ahead over to there.

Hahahahaha cutie lion Shade, well at least now you’ve got a Macbook. My old laptop died few months ago and I also invested in a Macbook Pro and actually I’m blogging more than before hahaha best purchase ever (including, of course, Vans and clothes). But also it’s true, it’s very complicated to have a blog and post constantly because I also work in a full-time job and sometimes I come back home very tired or without inspiration. But now that you’ve got more free time, let’s see now how much you write! <3

Sounds like you have a lot of fun things going on! Good luck with them all. I would totally eat vegan food out of a horse trailer by the way, even if just out of curiosity haha.

Wow! Crazy life, huh? But I’m such a proponent of staying busy and building something awesome. And getting healthy is always a goal, too 🙂

Wow, I don’t know what I do if my laptop broke by someone or my pet, in an unexpected moment. Well, I can say you got some Timberland items that will last a lifetime 😛 Good luck with your ideas and blogging.

Period of blogging silence happen and they can be, sometimes, very useful. Well, maybe they can be detrimental for your domain authority but caring too much about visits and DA are one of the first reasons for blogging burn out (I know something about it!). Wellcome back with all your new ideas and energies!

  15. 12th March 2018 / 2:39 am

Sounds like you have been super busy last year! Glad to know that you invested in Mac and I’m sure that you must be loving it. Looking forward to your future posts!

That sounds like some challenging moment you went through. I’ve also been considering vloging but reading your experience made me want to reconsider.
